I hope you enjoy your holiday. Thanks for the continued support. I do not know what I would do without this group of people. If you get a chance please fill out my little survey on the top of the Medical Questions area. You can even click on the live results. I am going to use this to design a multi-abx survey for the followup. It will be shared with everyone as usual.

Thanks for all the nice Easter pictures. I was just laying on the couch an hour ago fighting back tears because yet another holiday will be lost to my family.
I am too sick to cook, make up Easter baskets, do an egg hunt, or do anything we used to do. My kids are 12 and 18, not babies but I hate to lose any holiday with them, since they are getting older and I feel the holidays left are numbered.
I got them some things for Easter but there is no way I can wrap them. I don't even know how to find the strength to go into the basement and drag them out.
I don't want to whine, I am just so sick of how this disease is robbing me of sharing the joy of a holiday with my family. I have no extended family around to help, and hubby is sick too.
I am angry and disappointed I am in bed and cant function enough to color eggs with my child or get their Easter baskets out.

First of all....Happy Bunny Day to you all too!
Tracy.....it doesn't have to be a holiday to do something fun or different.
Suprise your family on a good day with an Easter Egg Hunt or something else.
In fact every good day should be celebrated....
Hang in there.
Hugs,
Geneal

Here's hoping that this will be the last joy that you will be robbed of by this disease
Until that day

Tracy - I'm so sorry that your Easter is so sad. I pray that this time next year, your whole family will be healthy and back to doing fun things together.
I know how you feel, even though I don't have Lyme. I am home, my son is sleeping after a day and night of horrible pain (=herxing for several days), and the rest of my family has gone to relatives for Easter dinner (this happened at Christmas too).
We can't even go to church as a family as my son cannot sit on or lean against anything that is hard. I also miss a "normal" life. It's been 8 years!
No matter, I wanted to wish everyone a HAPPY RESURRECTION DAY!! How wonderful that Jesus loved us so much to die on the cross and rise on the third day for all of us. I pray that everyone open their hearts to Him and know the Truth.

Thank you so much, hoping. I am so sorry you are having a bad day also.
I hate to complain, but at the same time it feels good to be able to get it out. I have prayed a lot today that my life won't be like this forever.
Please, Please God let there be a light somewhere at the end of this tunnel. If i can just get to that light, I will grasp it with all my might and use every ounce of my newfound strength to do my best to light the way for others.
I feel as if I am losing everything. The simplest, simplest things are those that hurt the most. I don't care about the car being repossessed, or not being able to get my hair done for over six months. I just want to be able to go for a walk with my kids, have an Easter egg hunt, go to church with them.
I just want to be able to bake a pie or pretty decorated Easter cake. How did it happen that simple things that seemed so effortless my whole life are now impossibly out of reach?
It has been close to four years now. My older child has gone from 14 to 18 without a mother. My younger child has gone from 8 to 12, Please, please God, let me start to be able to be there for them. Give me the strength to help with homework. take them to a movie, go to the grocery store so there is some food in the house for them.
I know I will never be cured. I pray now for remission. Please God, let there be remission someday.

I have been on and off sick with Lyme since my daughter was 4...now 21 and my son 7....now 24......
believe me your kids are not without a mother......
my kids have turned out to be..good..caring compassionate individuals.....even growing up with a sick mom....... they are both in medical careers.....go figure... being around sick people all day.........they just have the ability to be careing to those who are in need........
anyway.....I hope the days ahead will get better...... but don't wait for them... ...even if you can just sit and listen to your kids.... sometimes thats all they need......

Tracy,
I agree with you 100% that nothing else matters except our children and family.
The "Success Stories" posts are full of wonderful triumphs. If you haven't read them yet (or even some of them), I'd highly recommend you do.
We are all waiting to "turn the corner" on this awful disease. Please don't stop believing, because one day it will happen.
Most of all, please know that you and everyone who is ill are in my prayers every day.
God will bring you through this storm. Keep your eyes on Him, because He is our anchor and our strength. Posted by Tracy9 (Member # 7521) on :
Oh, thank you for the prayers; I felt better today for the first day in a long time, I think God heard us!!!
mtree, how I yearn to just sit and listen to my boys. They won't let me. They basically avoid me like the plague. I beg them to come and watch a movie with me, lay with me for a moment, offer to scratch their backs which used to always get them....they just don't. I wish I knew how to fix that.
