sometimes i feel like i am such a baby!!!!! i am terrified of starting new meds becasue i am affraid of having an allergic reaction :0(
anyone else feel the same way?????
i never had anxiety about anything until i got this stupd disease!!!

Yes! I feel the same exact way. I hate it. Especially starting new meds (Ive never had an allergic reaction to anything, but its still scary that I could have one at any time with all these different abx and herbs Im taking). I try to stuff them down my throat as fast as possible without thinking about it.
It eases my mind to know that an allergic reaction is pretty rare and RARELY fately and in the long run all these medicines WILL get us better. To ease your mind more be sure to have some benadryl in the house.
Also I firmly believe that we should not skip doses or take day breaks from the medicine (which is pretty hard for me because I get the mentality oh well im so sick already what are these 5 antibiotics gonna do to help, or I just get lazy and think oh this one dose wont kill me, Ill just take the next one) but I have now learned and programmed myself to take the abx on time, everyday.
I heard that skipping meds is a big no no from mine and other LLMDs. We need to have the medicine constantly flowing in our bloodstream, which is also why I take my 3 doses every 8 hours.
What also sucks, but may also be a good thing, is that I realized everytime I take my medicine I feel very sick immediately after and for the next 3 or 4 hours, and than feel better; that is until I take my next dose!
So at least I know this medicine is really doing something.

I am cautious when starting a new treatment protocol.
I learned the hard way to start with one med for a few days before adding in another.
That way if I have a problem it is easier to isolate the medicine.
My daughter who has been on zith since last summer for Lyme
Just had an allergic reaction to it this past Thursday.
Hives from head to toe that took us flying to the pediatrician's office.
She is on a Rx antihistamine. It goes to show you though that you can develop
An allergy at any time.

Never has bothered me. But yes, only take ONE new med per day. Otherwise if you have a reaction, you won't know which med is the cause.
If you've never had an allergic reaction, your chances are somewhat reduced that you ever WILL have one.
But always keep your eyes open. It also helps to keep a journal so you can see what's working and what's not.
