My brother-n-law who has been diagnosed with Parkinson's has this.
Now I should state that there is no doubt in my mind he has Lyme and not Parkinson's.
He uses an AFO to help keep the foot up to walk.
(Ankle foot Orthotic).
Hugs,
Geneal

My mom suffers from both. Since I was diagnosed, we often joke that she probably has it, too.
She's never been diagnosed, though...interesting.

yes...AFO's just atrophyed my muscles, fell all the time in them. You can't feel ground, cast like. Stretching the achilles tendons helped me.
Put band (old tie) around ball of foot an pull ball and toes toward knee. Hold strtch for count of 40. Release>
Then at other times, try doing it with youself pulling your toes toward you before pulling the band to hold.

I had trouble with my right foot, and repeatedly broke my toe from dragging my foot or leaving it behind.
I also used to bump into walls, doorways, tables, etc. It's all better now, since treatment. I have my coordination back, and haven't broken my toe in months.
