We have been instructed to add 4 ounces lemon to 14 ounces water and drink 100 ounces. also add electrolyte powder.
This is a preparation for IV chelation and not a long term regimine.
But this is 5 lemons a day and my daughter is not getting it all down. More like 1 lemon a day. Because it takes so much time, expense, and energy and so hard to drink 100 ounces.
What do you do and think?
Do you think the better alternative is pushing a relatively comfortable amount (8-16 ounces)on most days, then a few days a week go for the whole amount?
Or a reduced, but challenging amount everyday? (like 50 ounces)?

100 oz is a lot of water to drink for sure.
But I would not veer from the doctor's orders. Chelation is a dangerous treatment and the doctor needs to know what he is doing.
Many people here have reported symptom relief whenever they drink large amounts of water. No doubt it clears things from the body and the doctor thinks it is important she be well hydrated.
I am trying to remember the member's handle who really stresses the importance of water. I think it is groovy or groovyjay.

Lemon and water.....
4 oz lemon juice 1/8 teaspoon plus a dab of NuLife stevia powder Enough water to make a quart.
This is our way of getting the lemon juice and it's mighty tasty. We each drink a quart a day and find that we could easily drink more but abstain due to cost.
I have a citrus juicer, not an expensive item. I come home with 10 or 15 pounds of lemons, juice them all and freeze in measured amounts. Juicing goes very quickly this way and seeds are strained out.
I just called our local natural grocer and will pick up a full case of lemons at a 20% discount tomarrow.
Good luck!

When I was on IV, I drank 150oz of water a day. It can be done, but you have to want to do it.

May I ask what may be a stupid question? Can you use store-bought lemon juice? It is so much cheaper as well as easier.
Does it differ in nutrients somehow since it is processed?

The lemon juice needs to be fresh squeezed. You can get a lemon juicer for 20.00 at target and get meyers lemons from your neighbors. I just ran out so I'll drive around the neighborhood and see who has a tree and ask them.
I learned this from a cleansing place that I went to . I feel that this has really helped me considering the amount of medications that I'm on.

I bought one of these bottles recently. It's 750ml (just over 24oz), BPA free and spill-proof -- http://tinyurl.com/5shwae
I measure out several servings of lemon juice in a smaller squeeze bottle and refill the larger one at the water cooler throughout the day. I add in the lemon and sip it while I work. I take it to meetings, on my commute, everywhere and easily down 5-6 full bottles a day. Drinking the 100oz is pretty easy this way.
Water is essential to good health in general, but with all the junk we're putting into our bodies (abx, anti-fungals, etc.) it's critical. Water flushes out a lot of toxins and helps keep your organs working at peak efficiently.

That is great that your drinking lemon juice just a reminder to all that want to do this. It's very important that we protect our teeth. I drink my lemon Juice with a straw and afterwards go brush my teeth. You can even rinse with a little sea salt and water.

Most of us do not live in a climate conducive to growing lemons, so this is not a realistic option for us.
