I do have a suggestion though for future gatherings. Can we wear name tags with our screen names on them? [Big Grin]

I saw lots of people but I didn't want to just go up to people and ask their names. By the looks of it other people there were also curious but just sat quiet and looked around the room.

The documentary is a "must see". Lots of information and the stories were incredible. Warning though, bring kleenex.

I bought a copy while there and I plan to mail it to my family and have them watch it and send it along to the next family member.

I've passed along stuff to read and tried to explain the politics involved but they just don't seem to really grasp the severity of what people are going through.

To those that were there, I'm truly sorry I was so shy. I missed an opportunity to meet people and those opportunities are far and few between.

A great big thank you to Lyme Quest for sponsoring the viewing.

I was there too! And also shy-but i'm shy by nature. Not a good conversationalist!

It was a wonderful film. as soon as it was over I made my husband go buy a copy.

I felt like it really summed up my life over the past few years. There were so many times i wanted to shout out "YEs!" or "me too!"

I did get very depressed and overwhelmed though-had to leave during the first speaker.

WHo was the other speaker?

Who was the other speaker?

The 2 speakers were Pat Smith (president of the LDA) and Robert Bransfield, a psychiatrist who's on the ILADS board (don't know his title though). Not counting Jeanine or whoever it was that helped organize the event and spoke prior to the film for a bit.

Good job of organizing and hosting the screening by those involved. I was glad to see they were doing a screening in central jersey as the only other one in jersey I've seen listed was in Marlton if I remember right.

I ended up getting a copy of the film as I figured it's a fairly easy and quick way to convey things to people about some of the different aspects of lyme. Along the lines of what proudmom said above.

I am in Oregon, a "no-lyme" state. How do I get a copy of "under our skin?"

I really want to see that. I cried just from the trailers where I saw Dr. Jones on trial, he saved my life. I wouldn't have made it past 15 years old without him. He's an Angel.

wow.. we watched it. they did a wonderful job producing it...

we're trying to find a way to get a public showing here in Central Oregon... that'd be good. this place is infested with ALS, Lupus, FM, and MS patients. And lots of "crazy hypochodriacs" that didn't fit into any of those categories.

My boyfriend watched it with me, and halfway thru it I whispered to him, "you don't have to watch this."

Afterward he came to me and said "I'm gonna be here. and however much time God gives us together, I'll be by your side."

It was neat to see Dr. Jones and Sabra again, two of my childhood heroes. [Smile]
