Hello,
I have posted here over the last year or so because my daughter has LD and Babs. She is doing great! Gone from being a virtually bedridden, housebound HS student to a regualer colleg student with her own apartment, etc...

Well....Last week I woke up with Bell's Palsy and the ER doc ran a Lyme test...to his credit he knew to run it...but doubt it was a WB...

Anyway, I have sort of suspected I might have Lyme for a while...even scheduled an appt with my daughter's LLMD...only to cancel it because funds were too low for the Igenix testing and office fee...

Now, I am rescheduling it...have to call tomorrow.

Have felt like crap for a long time...
Often have headaches

have NMH

have had bizarre bruising ...big bruises on inside of arms and legs for no reason

vision is going

memory is going...losing words, short term stuff is often off.

Often just bone exhausted

Now Bell's Palsy

I am a single mom and self employed. I am trying to prepare for the possibility that I DO have LD and may need to go through an often grueling treatment by stepping up aspects of my work I can do from home.

Just need a little encouragement...I am lucky that we have a great LLMD about an hour from my home...just dreading the fight

My friend had Bell's Palsy from Lyme and acupuncture made it go away quickly.

Wishing you good luck and a speedy recovery.

Thank you Angelica. I appreciate your support. I have had acupuncture for an unrelated illness and it went well.

I appreciate your support.

I am really scarred. I was given Prednisone for the Bell's Palsyalong with Valtrex. At first, I felt great...now I'm just plain exhausted nd I'mtingling in myface, arms and legs.

Did I do something horrible by taking the Prednisone??? ARRRGGHH?

elle,
I can relate to your fears. My family's story is similar to yours.

Our child was sick for a year, then after lots of testing to find out why I was so tired all the time I tested positive for 2 strains of bart and myco.

Then my husband tested positive for lyme and bart.

I was scared to death that we would be so wiped out from our own tx that we would have a tough time taking care of our 6 year old who has lyme, and our healthy 3 year old.

Although I have had non-TBI issues over the summer (gall bladder surgery), I've been pretty able to keep up.

My husband hasn't had any significant herxes, and overall seems the same (still gets ticked off over just about anything, still sleeps too much), so we have been pretty able to maintain the status quo.

Not everyone has the big herxes or gets super wiped out by tx. You might just get through it ok, and find yourself feeling better rather quickly.

And if not, you have a support system here, which does indeed help.

Wishing you the best,
kp
