Hello all,

At one time, I remember seeing a link for medic alert jewelry that looked nice.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? Or offer new suggestions?

I'm actually looking for something for a pre-schooler who is very allergic to all nuts. The allergist suggested a bracelet.

It might also be a good idea for all of us Lymies, too!

Thanks,
Cactus

Here is one of my older posts on this Cactus. Hopefully, it is still navigable.

Thank you, Melanie! This is exactly what I was hoping to find!

Hoping that none of us ever have to use this, but it's important to be prepared.

Big thanks,
Cactus

Just in case anyone else is interested, I found another site with medical id bracelets for kids... www.petitebaublesboutique.com

I like mine. I have the sterling silver band. I could look up the ID number if you want me to.

I like it because it's not clunky and huge. It's very discreet... but wouldn't be missed in an emergency.

Here.. this is it. I have the first one on the list.

I like yours, too. And I like your link the best so far, because there are some for kids that are on sports bands - also hard to miss, but maybe easier for play time.

Never, never thought we'd be getting one of these for a 4 year old! But very happy to know they're available.

I bought mine locally at our MEDICAP pharmacy 5 yrs. ago in jan. at that time it was less than $20.

i used BOTH side for info!! name, phone no. & diabetes 2 on front

back: all allergies !! penicillin, multi chemical sensitivities,

i talked to EMT's later asking about putting LYME DISEASE on there; NOPE; it means nothing to us.

melanie's post above is great and lists all the IMPORTANT HEALTH ISSUES to be placed on yoru id bracelet or necklace!!

i've got the bracelet & lose; too tight otherwise.

thanks melanie for bringing this up again since there are so many other issues caused by lyme:

heart block, kidneys, blood issues, etc.

You are most welcome Miss B... [Smile]

I had to call them this morning for a few med clarifications and they were so nice and easy to speak with!
