This sounds daft but.. its so damned expensive and when I use the plunger thingy to draw the evil stuff out into 5ml I just cant bring myself to lick off all the liquid stuck to the outside of the plastic. Its far to expensive to waste, do others just use a teaspoon ? Shovel it down the back of your thoat? What about the residue? I am not cheap but at over $600 a bottle this is doing me in. Anyone got any bright ideas? Thanks.. LymieLiz

1 teaspoon = 5ml. I find it much easier to pour the mepron into a teaspoon than to try and draw it up. And I just lick the medicine off the teaspoon. It is easier to wash than a syringe anyways.

I guess i'm lucky since I don't mind the taste so much. Maybe you should take it right before you eat so the taste doesn't linger in your mouth.

Good luck [Smile]

I use a medicine cup.

I pour water in to the 1 tsp mark then
pour the Mepron in to the 2 tap mark, for each tsp.

I toss it down my throat like a "shot". Very little gets left behind.

Make sure you take a couple of Tbsp of fat (24 gms) per dose.

2 Tbsp Peanut Butter (nut butter), 2 Tbsp butter or 2 Tbsp. Marie's Creamy Salad dressing got me through it.

I was obsessive about finding a way to get all the medicine in too!

I also use a teaspoon.

It really doesn't taste that bad to me.

After the nasty taste biaxin left,

Nothing (besides disolving flucanazol) can compare.

Wait....cipro disolves quickly on the tongue too.

Nasty! [Eek!]

I have to admit that at the end of the bottle, I add a little water

And drink out of the mepron bottle. [shake]

Just got to remember to completely wipe the yellow off my lips. [Smile]

Hugs,

Geneal

Ugh, liquid chalk is what I call it!

I think though, ceftin might be worse.

$600/bottle, what?! Is that without insurance?

I am just a baby and cheap too ! The cost on the bottle is $650 but thank the heavens above for my insurance through work. I still count every drop tho as if I had actually paid the full amount !!
Thx for the feedback. Treated myself today to a nice oily jar of almond spread..
