I've been thinking about taking a break from antibiotics for awhile now and was planning on talking to the doc about it during our phone conference next week.

Unfortunately, due to a financial emergency (kitty ended up at the vet late last night and we had to euthanize him this morning - the kitty, not the vet) we're broker than broke.

Now we can't even afford the phone conference with the lyme doc in order to talk about taking a break from everything.

I had one wit left and now I'm at the end of it. [bonk]

Dealing not only with the loss of my beloved Eowan (pronounced ee-oh-wahn) but with the knowledge that I can't continue lyme treatment until some time next year.... maybe.

I don't really know where to go from here. Continue with what I'd been originally planning?

I was hoping to do a parasite cleanse, get my body in shape (sort of), and do the Buhner protocol during the med vacation.

Now I'm not sure if we can even afford those.

Think I'm just overwhelmed right now. Thanks for letting me vent.

couriouser, [group hug] [kiss]

i'm so sorry about your pet that used up the end of your money so you can't afford to talk to your llmd about going off meds for awhile.

come here and share your thoughts and feelings anytime ok! [kiss]

Thanks Betty [kiss]

Will probably be ranting and raving about this for a little while. Thanks in advance for everyone's indulgence.

Curi,

I am so sorry.

To lose a pet and be broke is no joke. My thoughts are with you..

My condolences!

I agree with merrygirl....bigtime!

Take it one day at a time....maybe something will come along to help your financial situation.

Thanks for your support. [group hug]

The house is waaaay too quiet this morning. I keep expecting to have to step over Eowan or see him in the kitchen (it was his room, I just borrowed it).

The other critters miss him too. They're demanding more lovin's. Probably just as well, 'cause I need it too.

Ya know, the irony of the resulting situation hasn't been lost on me. Here I am, wanting to take a vacation from the meds and, sure enough, I got one whether I like it or not.

Another one of those "be careful what you wish for" things?

I'm sorry you lost your kitty. I'm in the same boat. Our most wonderful orange tabby died suddenly (after we had him on treatment for a week) just last thursday - the 9th. He was only five and all of the sudden he went from healthy to cardio myopathy sick. We spent nearly $700.00 at the vet and then tried to help him (and his heart) on medication three times a day. He tried so hard, took his meds and it looked like he was going to get better when he started eating on his own. It simply crushed us! He was a very special person - if you know what I mean. Soooo I do understand your loss.
What can I say - I guess they are in a better place and in time...our hearts will heal.
