Tonight I drank a beer offered to me...... and it was goooooooood.
Kids enjoyed trick or treating. And I enjoyed eating some chocolate.
Yes, I know. But I lived a little tonight..... and it was GOOOOD!

Good for you!
I cheat and eat Russell Stover's dark chocolate morsels made with Splenda - sometimes I have two when one won't fix my chocolate cravings.
Gosh darn, we gotta live...
And...I've been thinking about a Margarita, and I might just go for it!

I try to feel as NORMAL as possible. This means an occassional glass of good wine.
Sometimes a piece of cheesecake.
Go ahead and live a little.....in moderation and with good sense.

Mmmm...Pizza and ice cream are my favorite cheats. And chocolate. But I was good this Halloween. I try to save my occasional cheats to enjoy with friends or family.

I am the Queen of the Cheating Department!
I usually end up paying for it though.
I deem it worth it most of the time.
Today I had two small pieces of Hershey's chocolate.
Yes I took them from my children's Trick-or-Treat stash.
I let them melt on my tongue rather than chewing so as to savor the flavor.
I had my first half of a baked potato a couple of weeks ago.
First time in over two years.
Man was that good.
What I really miss are Coke Icees, Baskin Robbins Rocky Road ice cream,
And potatos. Baked hard on the outside, loaded with butter.
I don't do sugar free chocolate.
I do sugar free drinks though.
Some things just can't be replaced.
It makes me feel like an adult.
Maybe a false illusion that I still have some control in my life.
A pleasure of indulging when I know I shouldn't
Makes it taste even better.
Hugs,
Geneal

Some things are just good for the SOUL. And we definitely need to feed that. I never feel guilty when I cheat.
And don't forget dark chocolate is an antifungal and antioxidant. Enjoy

I cheated to! My husband has been instructed to remove the candy from the house tomorrow. He's taking it to work.....where there are lots of college kids!! Posted by bettyg (Member # 6147) on :
me too; i had 3 1" snicker bars trick or treat night and what gorgeous iowa weather we had for those lucky kids!!!
now hubby/i have 2 more bags of treats left although that was the most kids we'd had in YEARS!

LOL @ looking like "chicken with gluten free spaghetti coming out of it" - now that gives me a great mental picture.
I admit - I cheated as well. I might have raided my nephews halloween candy. I might have raided it only of chocolate. I will stand by my decision by telling myself that chocolate is much more appreciated by women in their 40's than a 5 year old.
We've got to live a little - we deserve it.

I mostly eat what I want. I try and cut back on sugar, but I do eat carbs. I need them for energy. I sometimes eat a little sugar, but not too much. I drink mostly water or tea. Haven't had any alcohol since finding out I had LD.
I don't happen to believe that eating a little imperfect is going to make that huge of a difference. And besides I want to live as normal as is possible.
The only thing that is going to help get rid of these little buggers is medications designed to do so.

d-Ribose can supply the right kind of sugar for your brain and heart's energy. It is very healing.

Note above that I DID cheat...OK....
But I wanted to caution all that sugar-free stuff can also feed yeast. I found out the hard way. I had no idea!!!
Dizzy Up... One a night may not do that much harm...but don't cheat more than that.
