Sun am: had an hour outing in the car. Found creek a person told me about. Was on my feet a bit...5 or 10 min. Rested on boulder.

Weakness is back. Glad I did not run into a cat like above.

Looking forward to seeing creek in the spring. Most likely will be a river or stream then.

Unusual for me to be out in the car for an hour so that was good. I was kind of in a fog but driving on country, quiet roads.

Ran across a few campers with ATV's just camped wherever they wanted to it seemed.

Mon am/pm: 10 to 15 min loop in forest

Also able to get a few of the clothes hung up. Did a bit, rested and then did a bit more.

It seems the multi movement and multi tasking it takes to put clothes away is harder on me than straight walking in the forest. Go figure??

Kam,

I've gotten myself in trouble doing various stages of laundry. Passing out, falling, seizuring....so yes, putting away clothes can be just as exhausting as walking.

Especially if you have to bend your head down to put them in drawers or something.

Walking is MUCH MORE fun. Can't you train Rosie to do your laundry? [Smile]

You know my first service dog did help pull laundry out of the dryer.

But, I have been doing better and haven't trained Rosie for that.

Hmm. Wondering if I could train her to hang pants and shirts up and fold towels and sheets. HA!

Tues am: had an hour outing. 30 min at Walgreens replacing the battery for the camera.

I walked in, sat down on a stool at the camera department and then walked out. It was tricky, but I did it.

Then off to the forest. But, the sun had gone down by the time I got out of Walgreen's.

Went up the hill a bit. Rosie got to play with another dog while I sat on a rock. She had a good workout.

I have not gone up the hill in quiet a while. It was a good outing.

Good Morning Kam How are you today? Isn't it lonely out there on the trail? No one else seems to be joining you this week.

[hi]

Wed am: 20 min est in forest. Wore myself out, but it was worth it.

Rosie got to play with the caretakers dog again. Which is very good. They both need the exercise.

I almost slept through the night. Took a sleeping pill around 9ish. Woke up around 12ish. Took another sleeping pill and fell back to sleep around 1ish and woke just before sunrise.

I also did not take any 5HTP. I read somewhere that they may cause bad dreams.

I have been having lots of bad dreams. so bad you don't want to get up and start the day.

No bad dreams last night. Hoping it is because I did not take the 5htp to help me sleep. It was no longer helping anyway.

Doc will not increase dosage of sleeping meds so looking for alternative to help me sleep. As it is, I can sleep for 2 weeks out of the month and then will have nothing to help me sleep the rest of the 2weeks.

Kam,

I'm here, I'm here!!!!!!!!! [hi] [hi] [hi]

Send those bad dreams away and dream about your walks with Rosie instead.

I really really plan to be joining you soon!!!!

[hi] Good to see you Cathy, Akinwolf and Larkspur.

Hoping to get a summary from last week soon..health permitting. Now, I have more info.

sorry you have not been able to get on LymeNet Akinwolf. That is no fun.

Makes me wonder what protection we need. I am currently using a free program but not sure what that includes.

Brain is not workign well enough to figure it out.

Hey everyone!!! Rocky would not let me get away with walking him only once this week, so....

Friday-Me and Rocky 2 1/2 miles walking and jogging today.

Jogging cause I had to go to the bathroom, bad.

As I was hurrying home I saw a beautiful hawk way up in a pine tree.

First I thought it was a buzzard cause there are so many down here.

But no, it was a beautiful brown and white hawk.

Loved seeing it ride a thermal.

So I'm glad that Rocky was insistant.

What a treat Akinwolf.

Fri pm: 5 min on trail in forest. Rested on rock as Rosie played with another dog. Talked it bit to Dog's owner. Walked out.

It is good to talk to the other hikers, but it is also so exhausting even when I keep it short.

Sat am: Had a good outing.

Est 5 min at the Eagle's Nest (a decking in the forest.

10 min up the hill towards spirit rock and back down

5 min to phoenix tree

10 min to the car

I was hurting and the legs were heavy ...I knew i had over done it. But, enjoyed watching Rosie and Rusty run and play along the trail. They had a good work out too.

I even was able to take about 3 pics. I have been trying for years to take pics when I am out, but it is all I can do to just be there.

Nice, to have the extra umph to be able to take a few pics too.

3. Exercise

People suffering from fibromyalgia pain tend to shy away from exercise, and understandably so.

However, research shows that a combination of aerobic activity and strength training can improve fibromyalgia symptoms.

In one study by Harvard researchers, after exercising for 20 weeks, women with this condition reported improved muscle strength and endurance, and lessening of their symptoms including pain, stiffness, fatigue and depression.

If you or someone you love has fibromyalgia, I highly recommend working with an exercise specialist who can teach you exercises that will safely facilitate your healing process.
