Yes, as the subject says, I really did spill my Mepron this evening. And this is the second day in a row that this has happened to me!
All I know is that I was pouring and then all of a sudden it just overflowed the teaspoon and hit the counter. Big splat. So at first I just stood there in shock. (Lyme and Co have made me dumb and Klutzy!)
I couldn't let it all go to waste again (yesterday's spill landed in the sink on some dirty dishes that were soaking in water).
So, I decided to scrape it up with a spatula. That didn't work so well. Kinda just spread the mess around.
Then I tried to lick it off the counter. That proved to be quite difficult too.
Then I realized that I could use my finger as a better spatula. That worked pretty well in the end.
I can't believe I did that! I would never eat anything off of the counter before and yet I didn't think twice about it tonight. Yuck.
The scariest part of all this is that this is the second day in a row that i've spilled my very expensive medicine. Anyone have any tips, good pouring techniques that might help me out?
And don't worry, you can laugh at me too just as long as you tell me how to avoid a repeat performance tomorrow Posted by Parisa (Member # 10526) on :
Sammy,
Poor you! At the drugstore you can buy a dropper. That way you can dip the end in, suction up to proper amount and then squeeze into your mouth. Bypassing the whole pouring out issue.

I just did it this morning. Pouring that stuff takes some skill! First it's slow, then flies out of the bottle.

I've been ultra careful after that last spill.
Holding something (last used a paper plate) under the spoon is a good idea. Thanks dizzy Now I won't have to be wasteful if/when I spill again.
If I still have problems even with my new backup spill catcher plate then I might have to go to the store and get a dropper to try. Thanks for sharing that tip too Parisa.
You guys are great!

I have a ritual with mine. 'Clear the decks' as in nothing around to bump into or brush up against, spoons and peanut butter ready to roll, water poured. Slowly slowly open, pop any bubbles with teaspoon, and pour, slowly slowly, then spoon to mouth. It makes me feel a bit 'nutty' as I do it but hey - liquid gold.
