Hey everyone, Frontline has posted a moving documentary about Parkinson's Disease on their website. Watching this I couldn't help but think of my own and my mother's conditions (neuro-lyme and CIDP, respectively), how we both have had to restructure our lives around our problems, and how this needn't necessarily be an entirely negative experience. Of course it takes an amazing amount of perspective and optimism to believe so, something that, honestly, I haven't been able to engender for myself every day of the week. It is heartening to hear other's optimism in dealing with their own illness when this is the case; I thought it may be as nice for others as it was for me.

To paraphrase Michael J Fox
``We can change things; it's just freedom from fear. Being sick is a very fearful thing and having a catastrophic illness is devastating; but you get up next day and what do you do with it? For me, right now, this is my life, and I wouldn't trade it for anything.''
