Hi all,

I'm just watching television and they announced that the chimp who attacked the woman and then was shot by police....might have had Lyme Disease!

The TV newswoman said.....Lyme Disease is known to affect the brain and we're not sure if this was the chimp's problem!!! We're thinking that his medication may have had him out of sorts!!!!

angela, yes, in other articles, chimp does have lyme. now i hear the woman attacked MAY NOT make it!

They also gave that chimp xanax. They don't like to give animals the same drugs as humans. Benzo's can make animals have disinhibition. Animals that would normally behave, lose all their inhibitions and do awful things.

My dog has separation anxiety and I thought they could give him valium for when he has to go to the kennel, and the vet said no way, he would be far more likely to bite.

So, you can't blame the animal if stupid humans take him out of his natural environment, and then give the poor thing drugs.

hey look how these same stupid humans treat us with Lyme, whats an animal to them...

its a Sad story overall.
