This article is intersting:

http://www.personalconsult.com/articles/mastersdisease_stari.html

This is a strain of borrelia that could account for the negative testing some people get.

There is a paragraph where the founder of Igenex says that their Western Blots are sensitive enough to pick up STARI strains.

People in the South, people in the Midwest (even norhtern Midwest, because the article says that it was found on birds migrating to Canada): this could be important to know!

I live in the Midwest, so I never thought STARI would apply to me (the "S" stands for Southern).

I know some people question why it's important to use a highly sensitive lab, and this STARI aka Masters disease explains a lot.

So to those of us who obsess over our lack of positive this or that....these other strains of borrelia are out there!!!!

Dear Hoosiers51,
I live near you, so I was glad to see this. I am waiting on my Igenix WBs, and I will know more after they come in. At least my doctor knows negative WBs do not mean Lyme is not there. That is a good start. This is a good test to keep in mind.

Sincerely,
Jin
