i know this is admitting to being uh, dishonest, but i don't tell my husband what i spend on lyme. it would just set him off royally.

my retirement goes into a joint checking and then i have some savings.

but i handle paying the bills, mailling them etc., and can pretty well sort of hide any expenses...dang, that's bad isn't it?

but i'm curious. course i'm always curious about everything!!

who does the bill paying and monitoring the money for you? does it work out ok?

My husband pays all our bills and handles our finances.

I don't work and he owns his own business so this system naturally suits our lifestyle.

There are times when I wish I had my own checking account. I hate to make him upset when I buy things that he would prefer I didn't.

We both kind of handle the finances, although he's much better at it than I am.

I wish sometimes I had my own account and my own money, but that's not an option with me being at home with the kids.

My hubby is the type who monitors EVERY penny, including every 25 cent cup of coffee or pack of gum....

It does get annoying.

Especially aat Christmas when he knows how much I've spent on him for gifts, but I don't know what he's spent on me.

my husband used to handle ours until his rolling-hand, non-stop tremors got so bad, he no longer can write LEGIBLY; it's mumbo-jumbo.

so i do it now; with my neuro going on ...there were 4-6 months when my balance was off from bank and i couldn't find it anywhere. since there it's perfect !! patting myself on the back big time. [Smile]

I handle the finances, or at least, I juggle the bills. Without my income, we're short on funds.

I know many here have the same type of problem.

My DH freaks when he sees a late notice. Then we fight. He doesn't add up stuff like gas, food & medical expenses.

I just do my best to keep it all going.

Had to stop a lot of my meds cause the co-pays are so high. What am I supposed to do? Can't afford an LLMD.

Money is the one place he & I fight. I get very depressed when we do.

Sometimes I wish the LD had killed me, then he'd have insurance money to pay off the bills. Stupid, huh?

I'm so tired of worrying.

Geri,

Not stupid, just sad.

But I'm sure it's somewhere we've all been at one time or another.

Money is what we get upset about here too.

Hubby got really upset about my chiropractor bills and all the Lyme expenses, actually before I saw the LLMD.

I was ready to cancel the appt. and just let this disease kill me.

Then he lost his job and things really got edgy.

But he finally got another job, and things have leveled off some.

But the stress is still always there, lying underneath.

Praise God that we have this forum to come to, where others understand what we're going through.

i swear if i ever win the lottery i'm gonna set up a fund for lymies that have money problems...

i wish there was some way to ease all the problems lyme cause....sigh...

Double sigh... Lyme is a nightmare all around, isn't it.

If a rich fantasy life counts for anything, "when" I win the mega million jackpot, I'd fund research, start a huge public

awareness campaign & help Lymies get treated so they can go back to their lives.

Now where did I put that magic lantern? [Smile]

there's no one else but me to handle money. Me, my dogs and cats and rather un-interested in helping roommate. It's frightening - seems like everything extra I make in my glass business goes to medical expenses. And I've been feeling crappy so haven't been making much glass or going to shows to sell what I have. Luckily, my insurance from my full-time job covers a lot of it, but not all that it would if everything was in-network.

I'm not sure what I'll do if it gets worse and I have to cut back on my time at work. I'm having a heck of a time getting used to just one med (acyclovir), so haven't even gotten to the antibiotics yet. Oh, that'll be fun!

Yeah, what money!!? [lol]

I handle (juggle) the bills.

Wow! I think we have enough jugglers to start a vaudeville show.

I can do a tumbling act, since thanks to the LD, I'm really good at falling down.

Maybe those of us in wheelchairs could do a synchronized wheeling demonstration.

Anybody else have ideas? Got to find something Lyme is good for.

Geri

Sorry, I've always had a warped sense of humor and the last year has made it worse.
