My son just broke down on me. He couldn't ride to the park with his cousins because he is having a lot of absence seizures. He couldn't eat the food there anyway, because he is on a yeast control diet. The things he said as he cried really hurt my heart, too.
His symptoms dramatically wax and wane. Right now they are on. Thankfully he is not struggling in his school work as he usually does when things are rough.
I'm just sad. I feel invisible. Everything I've been through with my son's TS/Lyme has been invisible. Most everything my body is going through with Lyme is invisible. I just wish certain people could know and care.
At the same time, I am sooo thankful my kids do not have some terminal illness. I've been through the scare of that possibility before.
My marriage is strong, and my husband is doing well.
We have all our needs met, with some left over.
I have nothing to complain about when I look at the big picture. I really don't! But some times I just want to complain anyway.

You have every right to complain! We all do. I'm VERY sorry about you and your son, I have been reading about his TS and semi new Lyme dx.
I say it over and over that I wouldn't wish this disease on my worse enemy! So we can complain ALL we want~~ is how I feel.
And if it makes you feel better GREAT! IMO.
Sending healing and happy thoughs your way! You are very obviously a great mom!

Oh, my dear, it's okay to feel sad every once in a while. It's all part of the grief of loss. And, you are such a loving mother, you can feel your son's pain.
My daughter has been ill for several years with this stuff. Some days I just cry for the anger of loss.
Tell your son this is only a season of his life. We need to take care of this now so he can have the rest of his life to enjoy!
Hope today is a better day and you see God's hand in it.

It's better to get it out once in a while than to squelch everything down and wait till you explode.
That's what is great about this board--you can come here and let loose and people understand.
Even if they don't understand your particular circumstance, they understand the big picture.

Lyme stinks!! Pain Stinks!! Life stinks when all these combine. Causing deprssion etc because evey problem gets bigger when in the battle.
But we care and it will get better in time.
