Is there any chance that Dialysis can be used to wholesale flush and replace the infected blood for those with toxins and spirochetes? To me it makes sense but Im probably missing something.

I don't know about that...but have heard of kids with sickle cell I believe getting massive transfusions and they take the blood with the irregular RBC's out.
However...due to the nature of Lyme Disease...it's in our tissues, bones, brain, ect...even a whole body blood transfusion unfortunately would not take care of it all.
Good brainstorming though!

Agreed.
Plus, hospitals don't think Lyme is any big deal. Don't think you'd get a dr to take it seriously enough to order dialysis.

Thanks for your replies and I agree with all of you. I know at some pt in Cure Unknown tigecycline was mentioned as a possible breakthrough drug but I have heard that it is too hard and painful to do, but what it does do effectively is disable the efflux pump, where the spirochetes are holed up and allow permeation of the hiding areas by an antibiotic or something else during the process. For chronic patients, dialysis must do some good even without getting into their caves.
OT The other day I put my rash, in full bloom on my arm, on the steaming hot black windowsill of my truck and held it there until I got used to it. After a short while, the skin shriveled, turned white again and the cottage cheese underneath disappeared. Messin' with spirochetes.....its what I do. Now if I can figure out how to put my rear end on my truck without getting arrested. Also, next time there is movable tissue around my elbow that hurts, Im going to cut it open since my doctor will not. Anyone ever done that kind of thing, cutting yourself open, before?

You need to go to lymefriends and speak to James Derwin, he may have done something so radical. What will cutting your elbow open prove? How will that aid in your treatment? Are you thinking of something like blood letting of old?

treatment? I treat myself and Im not taking abx either. I don't have 10K for MY problems - I have a daughter that will be getting married and a son to college. So for morbid interest if nothing else I want to see what the cottage cheese looks like
