What state is your Dr. C in? I see a Dr. C in NY who is great.

Dr. C in MO

Does he always only do one med at a time?
He might just be starting you out on only one med because you are so ill. Maybe he thinks you would not yet be able to handle a heavy duty load of antibiotics.
My previous LLMD, who was very good, might have started me out on just one antibiotic too. I am pretty sure he did.
That said, listen to what other people have to say about him or her, and I'd find the best person to treat you that you can. Someone that seems to have gotten the most people better. It is worth traveling far for a better doctor, in my opinion.

Heard mixed reviews. He only does one med at a time. Didn't take my case very seriously even though I am very very severe.
Please let me know what you think.
You and another poster have been posting information like this about Dr. C. You must go to a different Dr. C in MO than my family does. Our Dr. C takes our Lyme disease very seriously. He treats my family members differently depending on what each person needs.
On another post you said he only gave you Doxy. He most likely doesn't think your body could handle a higher dose since you are very, very severe. If that is not the case, call him if you are not satisfied with the dose.

Dr. C does NOT repeat the same protocol with each patient.
In fact, I am one of his patients, and I am currently pulsing 4 different antibiotics.
He also not just treated but completely CURED my 9 year old daughter of Lyme and Babesia. She has been well since January and is healthier than most other kids her age!
Lyme patients all respond differently to treatment. My little girl is well, and I am still pretty ill. We were infected at the same time.
And, to my knowledge, it is a common practice to begin with monotherapy and work up from there.
However, to state that Dr. C only uses one approach is simply not true.
If you are not happy with him, perhaps you should seek treatment with another LLMD.

He treated me and two other people I talked to the same. They did not get better, but I do agree that he probably has helped many cause of the huge cliental he has. I agree that he is probably one of the best and we all respond differently. I was just hoping to find someone that he actually helped. thanks for your feedback. b

He's My doctor....he starts out with baseline stuff...one at a time to get your feedback.
He's probing. Its up to you to give him feedback and help him adjust it.
He's treated me and my two girls for over 6 years.
read my Story in the "Success Stories" Stream.
Yes...I am better.

Hilarious!!!
I have heard he is very gentle. I have heard he treats very gently as well.

One last time..
He is an excellent LLMD. He has helped more people than you can imagine.
Do NOT be swayed by negative opinions of people here who criticize his treatment of you, especially ones that do not go to him.
And NO... he does NOT treat everyone the same. That is absolutely untrue.
BTW- These types of posts are NOT allowed on LymeNet.
If you want opinions on specific doctor's and their protocols... ask and have people PM you the answers.
And then take what they all say as totally unprofessional opinions because none of them are doctors.

Can we please stop all of this assuming because there are clearly 2 different "Dr.C's" we are all talking about here! One is a well known LLMD, and the other is NOT!!!
Posted by Brandimc (Member # 22017) on :
sorry to cause the confusion. I was talking about Dr. C in MO. I wasn't trying to be negative, just wanted to know others opinion.

This is a really good point WC. So are you talking about the Dr. C who both Tutu and Trout see? Who both claim that they are much better through his care?
Or, are you talking about another physician?

Its ok, I'm not afraid to tell it how it is. I'm just not allowed to post any info on this subject! For the record there are 2 Dr. C's in MO. I cannot say anything else about it because it is a waste of time and if I post the truth about this my post will just be deleted again.

Per BettyG, there is onlt one (1) Dr C on the LLMD list so, before this gets any more confusing, I'm closing this Topic.
