I'm not sure but I believe 10,000x magnification at minimum (VERY expensive).

Darkfield/brightfield microscope. And even then you need the right stain. No I don't have one.

I d think if you really want research just enroll for a micro/cellular biology degree .You will get access to labs with reactives and equipment
