I am absolutely dreading the nice weather. this means the kids want to go out side and play which then means I have to go out. I have no energy or drive to do this. It also means more functions and events. I am just wishing it would snow and rain everyday. I also do not look forward to the bugs that come with the weather.
what are we going to do?

I enjoy the nice weather and am looking forward to it.
The only thing I am worried about is that I will switch from doxy to something else for the summer due to the sunburn risk.
I am having improvements in head and neck pain on doxy/plaquenil, so I am worried about switching.
I have always trusted my LLMD though, so when it is time, I'll try it.
I am sure you are not alone though.
I'm sure there are alot of lyme patients who do not have the energy to do much of anything, let alone trying to keep up with the kids.
I wish I had a good answer for you, other than make a nice comfortable spot for you to relax outside while you watch the kids play.
It's hard though, since they always want Mom to play too.
Just do the best you can and don't beat yourself up over it.
I hate the bugs too. Ever since discovering I had lyme, I do not want to be around any kind of bugs/mosquitoes/ticks/etc.

I'm dreading the hot weather that's coming. I always feel hot so when it gets hot I feel worse. The heat saps my already low energy level.

merrygirl....its funny I said the exact same thing to my mom last night........
The thought of the kids (8&2) wanting to go to the pool, park etc etc....fills me with dread....
Last summer was a washout and I didnt want to do that agin with them...they are only little once but I just dont have the energy to do it......
My days are spent right now recharging my battery for the time between school and bed ...and same as you hoping the weather doesnt prompt them to want to go outside......
I was really hoping for a dramatic recovery before the spring/ summer and its just not happening........
never thought I'd wish to be stuck inside........

I've been there for awhile. Every time the sun shines I dread it. I'm the opposite of SAD, I guess. Winter allows me to hibernate and be chronically ill.
Spring and summer make me have to venture out. I need a break from my kids for just a few days, maybe I would feel better.
