I do not live too far from this particular doctor, and I have been debating trying to make an appt. The reason I ask is because I feel like most people who take their kids there probably bring them because they are so sick, so weak, and are desperate for help.

I have an LLMD who I love, and she treats my children as well...however, my kids are not acutely "ill," compared to many others. They have symptoms, many symptoms, but you would not know they have lyme and co's or any illness if you just met them once or twice.

My childrens'symptoms consist of so many things, from major mood swings to chronic strep throat, excema, and much more...however, they are all very active, go to school/day care, and are considered very healthy by their primary physician (who is ignornant about lyme).

Currently, none of my kids are on abx, although they all have been on and off. I just cannot figure out what to do. My current LLMD wants them tested for heavy metals before she continues to treat them with abx, because she feels strongly that the metals could play a major role in all of this.

I realize none of you can tell me what is best, but I do appreciate your feedback. I feel like there are soooo many very sick kids who benefit from seeing this famous Dr....I wonder if my kids need him? Ugh....am I making any sense?

Thanks. JL

Mine has just finished treatment after 10 months with the famous Dr.... (Well, hopefully. We have finished antibiotics & are watching to see if symptoms reappear). He was quite sick when we brought him there, he's now doing great....

We travel quite a distance to see the Dr., but ttavel time and money have all been worth it....

My son has been saved.

I am so happy for you and your son. I read about the improvements your son has made, and it is so wonderful.

I have friends whose children are sick with Lyme, some of whom cannot go to school at this point. I wish they would take their children to this Dr...

I guess I wonder if my kids would be put on abx as other children are- since they are not suffering from debilatating pain? Are neuro symptoms treated the same?

I hope and pray that your son continues to see nothing but improvements! Thanks for posting!

Hi JL,

Do you know if this doctor is comfortable working with genetic mutations which make detoxing extremely difficult?

Does he go slower with more debilitated/medically fragile patients?

Does he build up the immune system if needed before attempting treatment?

...gotta do something!

I don't mean to hijack your thread, but am trying to decide the same thing.

hshbmom - I don't know the answer to all of your questions- but I would think that he builds up the immune system before starting treatment.

Maybe we will hear from people who know him and what he does/does not do.

And you're not hijacking my thread - just adding to the conversation [Smile] . I see you are far from this doctor - it has to make it so much more difficult when you decide who to see.

JL
