Perhaps it would be helpful to parents whose children are being treated by Dr. J to know that there are other LLMD's available for their children.

In Dr. J's letter he clearly stated that at no time has the DPH recommended that his license be suspended or revoked.

My own child was given the runaround by her pediatircian for many years- refusing to connect the dots of her many complaints- other than it's all in her head.

Finally, to my relief , my own LLMD diagnosed her-and treated her- making the necessary adjustments for height and weight.

I'm sure there may be other parents on board whose children have been treated by other doctors successfully.

This information may counteract some of the angst stirred up by the sanctions levied against Dr. J.

Bad things happen to good people. It's important to fight the good fight-and support Dr. J in any way you can.

But it's also important to support the many parents who fear there will absolutely be no treatment available to them if something happens to DR. J.

That is not the case- as evidenced by my own experience-and I'm sure that of others.

I certainly do not want to strike fear in the hearts of any parents taking their child to see Dr. J. I hope he has been able to be reassuring to you also.

If things go south for Dr.J with these on going allegations, and I hope they don't,it is important to have your ducks in a row.

Keep all medical records in order, including copies from your visits with Dr. J and all test results.

Keep an ongoing symptoms list for your child- which most of you probably are already doing.

And start investigating where the next closest LLMD is to your location or find a back up LLMD that you would feel comfortable going to.

I am only suggesting this because as Tin Cup has stated she feels this is closest Dr. J has come to not being able to practice because of the ongoing harrassment and persecution.

It is most unfortunate that bad things happen to good people- and Dr. J has been one of the best-but-reality check here-you can't get blood from a turnip and sooner or later the lyme community is going to run out of money to support his ongoing appeals.

Prayer also helps. So with every letter of support you send to Gov. Rell, send a prayer out, too.

Of course, none of this would be happening except for the disgruntled ex spouse who refused to pay the bill.
I wonder if this parent of a lyme child has come to recognize the harm he has done?

I just read a thread started by Wisconsin on this forum. Take heart parents. Your child can get better, too. [Smile]

I don't know for sure- but I also hope that other groups are helping to support Dr. J financially, too, so the financial burden of his defense doesn't all rest on the shoulders of parents already burdened.
