He's 13. He's had Lyme for 8 years. We thought he was better when he was 10/11, but he had a co-infection that was undected at the time.
He's been sick all winter. His LLMD has been treating him.
Today he went back to school. He ran a mile and half before school and is going to go to wrestling practice tonight.
I wish I knew who posted this in the past. She/He totally should take credit.
I'll repeat it, because it's exactly what we've done to get better. Here it is:
1. Killing the bacteria (antibiotics and antiviral - we use herbs because our son responds better to this) 2. Supporting organs/organ systems with herbs and supplements recommended by doctor. 3. Detox - seems to be very important. Our son takes baths with a product designed to help him detox. I have no idea if it would work for someone else the way it has for him. We also make him exercise and drink a lot of water.
I think every body is different and what works for some won't work for others.
The only thing I would add to this person's list is diet. Whether our son's food intolerances are a result of the Lyme or existed before, I don't know.
That being said, eliminating dairy and gluten have played a major role for him.
Like I said, I think it's different for everybody, but I've read a lot of Lyme sufferers have been helped by figuring out their diet issues.
In 8 years I've learned that it takes the right doctors, research and patience to deal with this thing.
I've learned so much from everyone here. I just am posting in the case that this could be helpful to someone else.

He uses "Liquid Needle" baths.
His LMMD prescribed this, but we had to go on line and order form the website.
The company is called, "DNR".
I think you have to be come a dealer. I really don't remember because it's been a couple of years since we bought our first product.
