I'm very relieved that lyme was NOT mentioned in the same category as a wild animal, out of his mind, that brutally ripped someone to shreds and would have done worse if not stopped.

People already have their doubts about me. It doesn't help that from the slightest startle, my body flies into a violent contorted seizure - accompanied with otherworld grunts so unbecoming to a lady. I'd sure like to still receive a social invitation or two sometime before the year's end.

So, yeah, I'm just thrilled not to be compared to a wild animal on a killing spree. I don't care if it had lyme or not. This is not the best take-away message regarding lyme education and increased awareness and understanding of the challenges facing people who are living with lyme -- or those who live with them.

Yes, lyme is animals is very serious and we need awareness. Lyme is people is serious too and we also need awareness. It is best not combined in the same sound-byte or un-Kodak moment flash photo. Glad that was avoided. Now, hopefully, on to a full measure of "Borrelia Education 101" for all.

Dr. OZ never goes in depth about anything and that is one thing that bugs me about his show.

His show offers extremely basic information and is geared toward those who have practically no general knowledge of medicine and the human body.

Just look at the number of topics he covers in a given show. Typically 3 to 4. Not much you can do/say on a topic if you give it ten whole minutes.

Guess it serves it's purpose - general education. Sort of a "Medical Issues for Dummies" show.

Just my opinion, doesn't have to be yours. He seems to be a nice enough guy, and a great doctor. I just find his show simplistic and boring. I would not want him to cover Lyme. I suspect he would do more harm than good since he would just explore the basics. No way to educate people about Lyme, coinfections, tick bites, the treatment controversy, etc in ten minutes.
