I posted this last week......after my last visit.
As we know, our Doctors go through a lot in order to treat Lyme patients. It has hit close to home now.
It has been asked that we write to our Legislature and tell them your story. Explain how hard it is for Dr's to properly treat Lyme patients under the current guidelines.
Tell your story, let them know that the 30 day protocol isn't helping you and that you need help.
Let them know that our Dr's need to be able to treat without the fear of repercussions.
Apparently, the only way to stop our Dr's from being targeted is to plead to Legislature.
Please, take the time and send that letter.

- Through the LDA's approved materials -- Maybe share literature with the legislators' families - not suggesting invading privacy but some spouses have their own offices or a personal secretary. An educational campaign might work in their neighborhoods, schools, social clubs, churches . . . .
Is there a TEXAS LDA where there is an organized information packet all ready to go? It would be best to all speak with one voice, from one main organization.
Those from out of state could also take a look at what their own state's lyme groups may be doing to share information and join forces.

Is there one central link for this effort? -

Okay, I would like to send an email or do "something" because there are lots and lots of
physicians here in this large state that think this disease doesn't exist and I just can't go
anywhere else. Please send info on how to contact legislature...

So I am going to sound completely crazy but a local moms blog did a lyme post.
One of the comments was by Dr. W's daughter and I happened to find her on Facebook.
So I sent her a message, she probably thinks I am insane now. YIKES

This needs to be done in an organized way. Isn't there any support group involvement there?
Years ago the legislature held a hearing, and we all thought things would get better after that. The more things change, the more they remain the same.
