Every 10 days I flare up real bad and have to sit around for a couple of days. I am assuming this is a herx.
The first 30 days on iv I felt pretty good. Felt like had beat the lyme. Doc took me off iv and it came back 35 days later.
Now I am back on the Iv. I am on 500mg zithromax iv, 5 days a week. I take milk thistle, complex b100, asidophilous, garlic pills and omega 3 oil. Still can't get rid of the foggy head. Any suggestions?

Foggy head is sometimes due to co-infection with Bartonella (tests are not always accurate, false negatives happen), but it can also be from Lyme.
Bactrim DS (with Zithromax) helped my brain fog a lot within 6-8 weeks.
Other people have had success for brain fog with things like Rifampin (with Zithromax), or Factive or Levaquin (read up on potential tendon side effects with Levaquin). Those are all meds that will kill off some Bartonella, though they may be acting against Lyme too.
You may want to ask about adding Plaquenil, which will make the Zithromax more effective (studies by a Dr. D show this....if you want the name or a link to the study, just ask).
It can get better, you just need to experiment some and find the right drug. Good luck!
