Now that I know I have Lyme, I also realize that my children probably have it congenitally. My one year old had symptoms as an infant, tremors/seizure like movements. My three kids have no symptoms currently, so Im not treating them yet. We are focusing on me at the moment.
My question is about Vaccines. My one year old is due for her shots, and I have read so much about the Lyme-autism connection that I'm scared to let her have any more.
How do you find a pediatrician that is willing to see your child if you are against vaccines? I know they can refuse to see you. Are there any websites that are helpful in this area?
My family IS NOT going to support my decision (they refuse to believe that my kids could be infected) plus they are in the medical field, so its going to be a hard fight.
Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated!

- Do you have any naturopathic doctors in your state or one nearby?
Perhaps ACAM doctors will. Have you looked into "safe" vaccines? Contact Jenny McCarthy's organization.
Contact the organization called something like "Autism in Lyme" or visa versa. Maybe it's "Lyme Induced Autism" - they know all about vaccines.
In the Ototoxicity book by Bauman, many vaccines are listed as being ototoxic. -

I am currently reading the Lyme-Autism Connection book. It's has a lot of good info and I recommend it!
As far as a doctor that will be ok that I am not sure? I agree with Keebler that you can try a natural doc. Though I was suprised to find out that my pediatrician was ok with me not wanting to vaccinate my kids anymore. So you may be able to find one if you knock on enough doors. Best of luck!

I did a search for non vaccinating parents friendly doctor and came up with one in KS. There were links there that might help you find others.
You could also see if there are any groups around you for parents of children with autism. Some of them would probably know.

I didn't take my kids for well-baby/child care. I could tell if something was wrong. When something was wrong, I had to take them to walk-in clinics anyway because it was always a few days to be seen by the ped. So, basically, we just used the walk-in clinic for the three or four times we've needed it in my kid's childhood. Once we used the ER for a broken arm.
My kids are all healthy .... even, or should I say ESPECIALLY the ones who received no or few vaccines.
