I've been using the plastic jug water filter for years. Now that I am watching every possible toxin in my environment, I wanna switch to a really good water filter that hooks directly to my water faucet to avoid the plastic toxins.
Can anyone recommend a really good water filter - the kind that hooks directly to the faucet? thanks!

Reverse osmosis in the way to go if you can afford it.
I, however, cannot, BUT I will say that we've had an Aquasana filtration system for a couple of years now and are very, very happy with it. The water tastes so good! You can attach it right to your faucet tap and set the unit right on your counter- takes up very minimal space, maybe about 8" wide by 4 or 5 " deep.

I use a Pur brand filter that screws onto the sink faucet. The Pur ones are basically just carbon filtration.
It doesn't get everything out, but from what I gather, it's still a decent way to go. I think it gets most chlorine out, but not quite all.

And we've been really happy with it. The replacement filters are super affordable, and ours last over a year, but I try not to push it. This year I'm going to add the UV.
I live in the city. They add so much chlorine and fluoride. I also have a whole house filter.
Yeah. I have a big credit card balance, but I have clean water.
