I saw this movie recently. I was just wondering what people thought of it.
I got it at a $1 rental box outside of the supermarket - so, it must be readily available around the country.

I thought it was terrible- and the references to Lyme Disease were too obscure to be recognized by general population.

Agreed. Didn't like it and references to LD were slimmer than I had thought they'd be.

Lymetoo - you didn't see it... You could at least watch it before forming an opinion.
I guess it depends on the types of movies you are drawn towards.
It's a pretty complex movie. I liked it. It's not really focusing on "the suffering of all Lyme patients" & then has a happy ending.
It's a dark movie/story but then so are the Greek tragedies...

I saw it - the story focused on a couple families in the 70s, when no one knew what was going on.

I liked it. The guys ears rang just like mine. People who don't have Lyme must have been bewildered by that.

They still don't to a large degree...
I thought it was a really interesting movie. I've never seen anything quite like it.
It wasn't like one of those tear-jerker movies about someone dying of cancer or AIDS. It was really different - just like Lyme. I don't want to give too much away in case anyone hasn't seen it.

I really liked it. From an acting stand point and a coming of age stand point (which is really what the movie is about-troubled homes and coming of age) it was fantastic.
The movie isn't about Lyme disease and isn't supposed to be about it. It also is meant to demonstrate how Lyme was viewed back then, it doesn't take place in present day.

Yeah it is still viewed much in the same way which is the most unfortunate part of the illness in my opinion.
I just meant that the movie takes place right when Lyme was first discovered so it is even more removed and viewed as even more of a fallacy by the general public (and unfortunately sometimes family members) for that reason.
