I just got an e-mail from a Rep for this company which does testing Anybody know anything about this? The Rep called it "Lymes disease" which is always a flag for me. Let me know what you think.

Interesting.

The Rep thing would annoy me, too. I probably wouldn't work with the Rep if I didn't need to.

I know nothing about these tests (other than the WB...and they say "standard" Western Blot, so I wonder if it is a Labcorp type WB or a Igenex type WB).

I can say that I've done testing at this lab, before, with regard to all my hormone levels, through a holistic MD near me. That was about 5 years ago. The lab results were interesting to see. Then they suggest all these hormonal supplements, etc. My doc and I figured out a good plan using those and some compounding Rx medicines. But, I found no relief from that.

The doc I was working with at the time, trusted the lab.

However, I did note that the lab was under investigation by FDA for some labelling/advertising issues (not testing issues). I don't know what's come of that.

This is a very good test. Neuroscience is a good lab and is covered and recognized by some insurance companies. This test is a new one. They are trying to get the costs down for lyme patients for testing.

This test, as it was explained to me by my LLMD, uses memory T cells to an immune response of the body to Lyme. It by passes antibody testing. It can find responses from early lyme to late stage lyme. The second part has a cytokine response to only the lyme pathogen. The third part is a regular Western Blot.

I have used their testing for Cytokine inflammation, neuro amino testing and cortisol hormonal saliva testing. Their tests get to the nitty gritty of what our bodies are actually doing.

In my case I have been dealing with severe inflammation with no swelling in my joints but pain. So my doctor ordered the Cytokine testing and low and behold it showed elevated levels on my interleukins. This proves to even the ducks that there is inflammation and it breaks down the proinflammatory ones and the anti inflammatory ones.

My doctor is starting to use it on her patients.
