Did anyone else see the newspaper article in last two weeks,,probably on AP wire,,??
Article said there has been a mysterious virus NOW found and verified in about 80-85% of the people who suffer of chronic fatigue linked to mice as a carrier host. Even the CDC recognizes this.
Didnt give any name for it,,or mention much more.
But all this sounds so parallel to all of us,,,or an additional co-infection perhaps?????
One more reason to keep homes mice free,,fall will be here soon and they will be looking for warmer living quarters.
How does one find out more info on this and what it might be???

I believe you might be referring to XMRV. Its a recent breakthrough. As someone who s been diagnosed with CFS im watching this closely. Im so hoping.

It stands for xenotropic murine leukemia virus. Sorry i cant post any links but theres been some recent threads on the medical questions board as well. You might want to check out prohealths me/cfs board. Can i post that? Theres been quite a lot of conversation about this. Were a bunch of tired people arent we?

Lombardi and colleagues (Science 2009;326:585) reported detecting XMRV in approximately two-thirds of patients diagnosed with CFS and 4 percent of healthy people.
In another study, Lo and colleagues (Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences 2010) reported finding MLV-like viral gene sequences in about 87 percent of CFS patients and 7 percent of blood donors. Both research teams concluded that their findings support an association between the retroviruses they detected and CFS, but noted the results do not prove that these viruses can cause CFS. Both teams also raised questions about a potential risk of these viruses to the blood supply.
These findings are in contrast to those of the CDC team, which found no evidience of XMRV infection in their study populations of CFS patients and healthy controls.

This is one of those times where i hate my lyme brain. There was something hinky about the CDCs tests but for the life of me i cant remember what. The brain wont cooperate in allowing me to find it either. I dont have much faith in the CDC anymore.
