I started a new lyme related site and would really like some help getting it going and any feedback you might have on the design , layout etc.
suggestions etc.
if anyone has a free minute to check it out and post to the site it would be a great help in getting it populated. (it should be supper simple if not let me know)
I checked out your site and thought it looked really cool and I liked the design. One thing that I would mention, which is just nit picky and I dont know if you could change it...but is if everything could be just a little bit bigger, I just think that would make it somewhat easier to read. But other than that, it was sweet!

Ok fixed that Default text is HUGE now but can be made smaller by click the ^A^
Typo in your initial post heading - should be explanation, not explination.

Hi Paul. I like your site. You asked for feedback. Here are a couple of things I noticed.
For the LymeNet newsletter, the link on your page says LymNet, though the heading is LymeNet. I didn't check - is that correct? Also, it might be helpful to let readers know before they reach the link destination that the newsletter is no longer published and that back copies are what is now available.
When I went to "considerations" I can only see half of the page width, no matter how small I adjust the magnification.
Are you thinking of including links to other forums? I know a lot of people like to frequent more than one, and it would be nice to have a place to find links to them.

I fixed the spelling error you found and removed the newsletter link... adding a list of other lyme forums would be fine.
if you could put a list together for me I would add that..

That is the link to the page that comes up, for me, as only the left half.
I will put together a list of forums I know of. Maybe other people would also have some.
I also wonder if you would be interested in providing a list of links to good Lyme blogs. I'm sure we all have our favorites; there's so much stuff on the internet, without a recommendation, I wouldn't have a clue where to find something worth reading. I can see how that could get out of hand, though, so it's just an idea. Don't know if you would be interested in reviewing suggested blog links to see what you think is worthy.

ok well the problem with that page is it is an embeded PDF file
so if you are having trouble viewing it you can download the PDF file below..
if you scroll the pdf file into the window you should be able to view the contents no problem. it does not open up full screen
let me know if you are unable to view the information withing the pdf?
also yea the blog thing sounds like a plan too just give me some links to get started with and I will get it going

Paul, I've reviewed your website. I think it may be useful to create an introduction page as the "Home" page expressing the purpose of your site. At best, your site will resemble a long list of other Lyme Disease websites. Rather than making it unique, your best bet may be to actually accumulate links and resources from all the other well known websites and "Link" up with them. One of the most common problems isn't a lack of information, but a lack of organized information which is easily accessible.
Establishing one more website on the internet dedicated to Lyme Disease will be useful, but as an internet forum, there are already a long list of them, so consider an introduction page and define the mission statement of what you intend for the reader to take away as they peruse your website. Try to keep it simple. The biggest obstruction for Lyme Disease patients -- whether new to the illness or not -- is seeing "overwhelming" amounts of information. So organize it simply. Keep it concise.
Constructive criticism to consider.

I was looking for the words for some good feedback. Michael says it very well regarding mission / purpose / niche, content and organization.
I will add that I LOVE the layout. The color/shading and font is very easy on the eyes.

@Michael thanks for your feedback I will see what I can do about explaining the mission on arrival.
I am not highly concerned about the links.. I just want to link to information that would be highly usefull for the members
as far as SEO I have a little experience in that and am not worried about getting traffic I just want it to be easy to use for the members before I fully release it

I agree with what Michael said about the need for a central site where links to good Lyme information are available. Forums, blogs, Lyme societies (e.g. CALDA), resources, etc. If that could be a component of your site, then I think you would get a lot of traffic as people come for reference and also to hang out and see what else you have there.
