I've been seeing my LLMD for over a year and a half now, and fortunately with all of the abx and his wonderful help and support, I've come a LONG way!
I also wouldnt have made it without so many great people here who listened to me, messaged me, helped when I needed it..... such a blessing to find so much caring!
However, NOW I have problems getting a job that will meet our needs!
My unemployment ran out in June; I literally had no income for the next 2 months....
Now I've found a part-time teaching job for 16 hrs a week that pays less than HALF of what I made on unemployment!
Now it's getting really depressing..... like why did I bother to get as well as I have, only to be impoverished?
It sucks!!!!!
Need some kind thoughts and support....

Every U.S. citizen should have access to quality healthcare.
It disgusts me that the rich have all the options.
I demanded I.V. when I first became ill, if they would have given it to me, I might not be in this boat. If I were rich, I'd know for sure.
Lyme is an injustice, piled on an injustice, piled on an injustice.
I hope it works out for you. I wish I had the power to make it so.

I had to travel to your country to get treatment for Lyme
so did my daughter
so did my husband
we have to pay for everything, meds, appointments, flights, testing,
we have to work everyday to pay for it all, no matter how much excrutiating pain, or fatigue we feel,
our family doesn't care
our country has free health care,
but not for Lyme,
doctor's said, we were just depressed! pretended not to know anything!
had no where to go, except to the U.S
I love Americans!
they saved our lives!

Hi Miss Mari,
I do understand what you are saying.
It is a blessing that your health has improved with the help of a LLMD.
Perhaps God's plan for you is different than you may have thought....but He works for good in all things.
Something good will come of your new situation that has not been revealed yet.
It may lead to knowing someone that could lead to another better job...or you may impact a students life greatly....the possibilities are endless.
Yes, of course money is the biggest issue...we need it to survive.
I would have faith that by getting well and going back to work, things will work out....just when we think we know the course of our life, it can take an unexpected turn.
Have faith.

I am so sorry!
I forgot to encourage you!
I will pray for you and I do so hope that somehow you will have enough to get by, but it would be so nice to even have extra!
You sound like such an intelligent and wonderful person, I am sure more opportunities will come your way.
Do you need a full time job, or would that be too taxing on your health right now?
Be strong and courageous,
I find that the "Suze Orman " Show really encourages me. She talks a lot about what happens and what to do when we are ill, or need extra income, or how to get jobs, etc. etc.
She gives out good advice and encouragement. That show really lifts my spirit, maybe it will lift yours.
Why don't you write in to her show? Maybe they can give you good ideas?
from Missing, again I am so sorry about my previous post, please forgive me

- missing,
Regarding your post a couple posts above.
Insurance coverage in the U.S. does not usually cover treatment for lyme. So, Americans are in the same boat at you are - having to pay for it all on their own most of the time.
Many here have no LLMD in their state and have to travel hundreds, or thousands of miles to seek proper medical advice, all out of their own pocket.
Here, too, most doctors say:
" just depressed!" and not only pretend not to know anything - they actually don't know anything about lyme and other TBD. -

I am praying too!
I believe that people get ahead in life if they are really nice, happy, enthusiastic, and genuine.
That shines through and I think these people are the ones that get the best jobs.
I watch a lot of CNBC and watch a lot of CEO's get interviewed. The ones that are really nice, get the most support and trust from anylysts, reporters, and stock holders.
I really think it boils down to having a great attitude!
I know you can do it. I can tell from your post, that you are that type of person that attracts many people to you.
It just takes a little smile and a lot of love.
I will keep praying, keep us posted on how things go! We will rejoice with you!

HEY HEY!!!!! So good to see you!

BEST news I've heard in a LONG time! Good for you! And I remember when...
About the job situation... it sucks now.. but hang in there. You haven't come this far to let it fall apart now.
I think you should go somewhere this weekend and do some volunteer work. Senior Center, Salvation Army, what ever. Just pop in and do it.
Giving of yourself will bring you rewards in many ways and your days will be brighter for it.
Good seeing you again Ms Mari!
