My son had lyme this past spring. He was treated for 60 days and we think we caught it early. He has been healthy since end of June. My question is I heard that once you have lyme when you get sick that you are more sick than the average person and for longer. Has anyone else heard or experienced that?

I have never heard that.

That's true for me.... but I've had this most of my life. Time will tell for your son. I hope he does great.
Just be aware that Lyme can come back and then would need to be treated again.

I had undiagnosed lyme, babesiosis, and bartonella for 10 years. Then, I got diagnosed and treated for it.
I completed my treatment over 5 years ago, and I am still symptom-free.
I don't get more sick than the average person, and I am not sick longer than the average.
In every way I am back to my old self. My health is good. I have just had a few minor normal illnesses in the last 5 years plus a herniated disc. I am normal.
