I have tested negative several times on the standard Lymen, IgG and IgM test. Tomorrow I get results from the Western. I am wondering what I should know about this test. What if it is negative? What if Positive?

I have a long list and hundreds of exposures: Horrific pain, edema, mental changes, liver cysts, LBBB, neuralgia in shoulder and arm, eye pain, insomnia, fatigue, depression, carpal tunnel, extreme sensitivity to touch, transient dysphonia, muscle spasms, night sweats, RLS, hearing loss, tinnitus, plantar fasciitis, and insanity to name a few.

I finally recalled the rash: it was in 1986.

I am terrified of either answer, pos or neg. My non LLMD has said he has nothing for me, and has referred me to a psychiatrist.

What should I know, ask about the results of this test? What other tests should I have if this one is negative?

Was your Western Blot done at Igenex?

Igenex Lab specializes in Tick Borne Diseases & they test all the "bands" not just the CDC surveilence bands.

If you print out the Green Booklet from http://lymepa.org

full of info regarding lyme & it's co-infections w/symptom list.

contact a local lyme support group to get names of LLmds in your area. A Lyme Literate Medical Doctor.

The support group listing page is up on left side of this page or post in "seeking a doctor" page.
