This year I am thankful for the wonderful people I've met and the special friends I have made on this site.
I have written it before, but this site is invaluable to me. All of your stories, advice and support have really helped us to get through this past year.

I just added to the holiday venting thread!
OK, there must be SOME good things.
1. My husband and I are making great progress in our Lyme treatment. We have joined the YMCA, and are getting out of "couch slug" mode. I am especially thankful for the talented yoga teachers and the huge swimming pool!
2. I lead a Lyme support group and another Lyme patient leads a social group. We have lots of great connections with other Lyme patients.
3. Lymenet, of course!
4. Our dogs.
5. Our fireplace. We are snowed in tonight!!
6. My husband and fellow Lyme traveller. It's twice the weirdness when you both have it, but as least somebody "gets" you!

I am thankful that I have managed to keep hubby alive for one more year in this 7 plus year ongoing nightmare.
Every day he lives is a victory.
He will never be the same, and it is daunting, difficult work every day. I love him still, and now know what those vows mean "in sickness and in health".
To all that suffer, may you have peace in your heart no matter what others around you throw your way. We have all been there.

I am thankful for my wonderful husband who supported me even when he didn't fully "get it", for my great kids who make me laugh every day, for the health that we DO have, and for HOPE, the biggest blessing of all.
AND for all my lymenet friends - I couldn't have made it this far without your kindness, support, understanding and all the tons of amazingly excellent information you so willingly share!
May the Lord give each of us the strength to continue fighting the fight to make the road a little easier for all the lyme disease sufferers who will come after us.

I am thankful for the most important things...family, home and creature comforts that I sometimes take for granted.
I'm thankful for a DH that "gets" me, and has been supportive throughout everything we've been through since we met.
I'm thankful I live in a country where I don't have to live in fear every day of my life, and for the servicemen and women who keep it that way.
I'm thankful for the internet who brought people into my life that I ordinarily wouldn't have met.
I'm thankful that I'm still alive.
I'm thankful that God continues to bless me, whether I deserve it or not.

I am thankful that I have a supportive boyfriend who is understanding of my emotionals moods and limited eating habits.
I am thankful for Lymenet.
I am thankful for Facebook - I found some good recommendations on LLMDs through some friends.
I am thankful that I have caught this disease sooner than later - it could've been misdiagnosed for years but it wasn't.
I am thankful that my workplace is understanding of my situation and will let me work from home until I am better (ie no more dizzy commuting and bright lights at work!)
I am thankful for my friends and family who are supportive.
When this is all over and I am healthy again, I will not take granted of my health anymore and will cherish the freedom and independence of being able to walk outside alone again.

Wizard - I am sending you cyber hugs You are such a strong person and your post touched my heart.
I'd also like to add that I too, am thankful for friends and family that are supportive, and for all of our LLMD's who are going against the grain and helping all of us.
But I am most thankful for my son, who has kept his sense of humor through this past year, has very quickly learned how to swallow pills, and manages to make me smile every single day.

I am thankful that my daughter that has had Lyme for 11 years now, got to celebrate another birthday...count them 24!
I am thankful that the Lord provides for us financially...where does the money come from?
I am thankful for my daughter's doctors and medical team.
I am thankful, that even tho my husband might not understand everything, he has always said, "Whatever it takes to get her well." and means it.
I am thankful for Lymenet all these years and the wonderful, tireless warriors that post on here.
I am thankful that the Lord has given me the strength...through impossible situations, to go on and be productive.
I will say a prayer for everyone on here, that no matter what...or how hard things are, that each and everyone will feel or see a blessing and recognize it as such.

I am thankful my kids are healthy.
I am thankful my husband loves and supports me in every way.
I am thankful for my parents, sister and friends who are as supportive as they can be given the fact they cannot possibly understand.
I am thankful there is always hope.
I am thankful for the full, healthy body and mind in my future.

i am thankful that i'm around another year. i still have most (ha!) of my faculties.
i am thankful for all of you and ya'll helping me keep my sanity.
i am thankful that our finances are in good condition.
and i am thankful for the Lord giving me the courage and stamina to keep going.

I'm thankful for my husband, a very compassionate man. He has stuck by me even though he knows very little about Lyme & Co. He just knows how I've suffered.
I'm thankful to be feeling as good as I am even though I'm struggling with several things right now.
I'm thankful my husband has two part-time jobs and is able to work.
I'm thankful to have my brothers. (no parents anymore)
I'm thankful for shelter and a good comfy bed.
I'm grateful that I live where I do and in the USA. (would rather be in TEXAS though!)
I'm thankful for all my friends and cyber-friends... including YOU!

I am thankful for my daughter's llmd. Beyond thankful. How can you ever really thank him?
I am thankful for my daughter's strength while fighting this battle that has brought many adults to their knees.
I am thankful for lymenet and the members that make it such a wonderful place.
