Just a little rant against the Philly airport!

Recently went on a trip for work-- once I returned, I took the shuttle to where I had parked and my car wasn't there. I walked around in the snow for an hour looking for it and I was growing more and more convinced that I'm losing my memory or going crazy thanks to Lyme. Eventually I looked up the number for the parking authority, and it turned out they had towed my car to a different lot so they could fill in some potholes in the first parking lot. Anyways it was a relief that I'm not losing my mind (yet) but it gave me quite a scare.

Wow, I bet it did!! I'd be really mad, I hope they gave you free parking or at least a discount for moving your car and not telling you!

This happened to me when I went to Washington DC with the kids. Parked in a parking garage... wrote down where the car was parked... went back and it was not there.

Reported it stolen. Cried. Called my husband. Security office said he would help me find it... asked if I had checked both sections with that number code...huh????

Little did I know there were two sides to the parking garage... both numbered the exact same way.

Boy did I feel silly! [bonk]

I don't belong in the city. My small town has 2 stoplights... population 2,100. lol

I can't believe you weren't notified somehow. (I can [Wink] , just a figure of speech) It's not like they don't have the means to get in touch with you.

If that was me, I'd just have assumed it was my memory and I would have looked and looked all day. Then I'd go back into the airport for lunch or something and then go out to look for my car again.

It would be at least 10 or 12 hours before I called anyone.

Momlyme----funny you say that about the stoplights.

40 years ago whe I was 'younger' my town had 2 or 3 stoplights.

The town has doubled in size and now has "ZERO" stoplights.

They found traffic worked better with stop signs and less maintenance.

Definition of a small town,,,,dont need blinkers because everyone KNOWS where your going!!!!

I know what you mean! People here complain about traffic when there are two people at a stop sign.
Man, will you look at the traffic. [Big Grin]

I used to commute into Boston every day for school and work... so I can laugh about it. I don't miss *real* traffic at all.

Definition of a small town,,,,dont need blinkers because everyone KNOWS where your going!!!! --->>> and they know what you are doing when you get there!!!
