I have a question about telling my other doctors about my lyme. Like the Gynecologist or skin doctor - do you tell them that you have lyme or skip over it?

Does it go on your insurance record. My lyme doctors are paid by me with no insurance coverage.

What do you think. Also, does this go on my insurance record if you tell them?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Happy New Year!

Talk to your LLMD about it as soon as possible. Their answer is absolute. [Smile]

I wouldn't mention it unless it was "pertinent" or necessary.

i don't mention it. i made the mistake of mentioning it to my gastro and looked what happened.

he dropped me. i think it was because he felt i was a problem and he couldn't do anything for me.

My gyn asked me about all the meds I was on, so I told him. He knows virtually nothing about Lyme, is about to retire. I feel it doesn't hurt to educate him. He is not the type to stop seeing me.

Most of my docs respect my LLMD. He is consistently rated highly by his peers in the area, as well as patients. Because of this other doctors do not question him much.
