I've been on the internet and going through the archives here on LN for the last hour and I'm not finding what I need.

I would like to start juicing but I can't find an outline "how to" for dummies.

I just got a juicer, it's a cheap one and I realize a quality juicer is key but I'd like to try it a few times before I invest in a good one.

Can I just jump into my first glass of juice with my favorite veggies?

One person locally said I need to "clean" myself out with epsom salt mixed in water (BLAHKKK!) The thought of that makes me nauseous.

I don't want to start with a juice fast, I just want to try it casually. Is that possible?

If anyone has suggestions or could pass on a website that outlines the steps to take I'd appreciate it!

I would like to work my way up to a juice fast, I just know if I started today, my cravings for a big juicy steak would win me over and I'd end up messing up my innerds [Smile]

Only juice organic vegetables. I make green juice several times a day. Start with cucumber and celery. They are easier on your stomach. Then after a few days add green leafy vegetables such as kale, spinach, broccoli stems, collard greens cabbage etc. I also add a 1 inch cube of fresh Ginger and juice of a lemon or lime. Super healthy and delicious.

I tried juicing. Couldn't do it. For some reason, it was bothering my digestive system. I tried to stick it out but the symptoms didn't subside. So now I do smoothies instead. I seem to do better with those. I will try the juicing again when my gut heals a bit more.

One website I found helpful.

I use to juice, did it for about 6 months, but wish I was still doing it. My basic juice was made with celery, carrots, tomatoes and 1/2 to 1 apple. Not sure it was a good mix for inflammation, but I enjoyed drinking these flavors.

I juiced for lunch every day. I did not go all juice and nothing but juice. I would call it casual juicing. I still think it was good for me. I need to get motivated and start it again.

So sure, go for it. Just give it a try and see how it goes. You don't have to do a fast.

I can't eat first thing in the morning so I juice. There is no right or wrong way to juice really. Try the different combos and you will find what your body prefers. For me I cannot juice any peppers (red, green or yellow) they give me major heartburn!

My favorite detox juice is cucumber, carrots and beet.

But I will rotate and add, celery, romaine lettuce, cilantro, papaya, pineapple, mango, apples, etc. I think I have tried them all... Kale and dandelion leaves are hard core though so wait a little before trying those and even then small amount will do.

Juicing is a great way to detox and feed your body at the cellular level. I love it!
