When you start using a dextox like this, is it possible that you begin to feel a litter improvement after just one or two days of it?
I've been so much sicker lately but never did real detoxing.
After a day my low grade fever lowered a little and wondered if this stuff can help right away or if it should take a while to notice any effect.

I'd be so happy to hear from others that it helped them right away - just because I've been almost housebound for 8 months, but even sicker last two weeks while trying to hit Babs/Bart with Bactrim. So quit Bactrim (again) and want to believe the detox will help sooner than later.

Anyone have quick results with Bentonite?

Thks

Not quick as the Bentonite clay makes me herx like crazy. Something that has helped that does not cause the severe reaction has been DM Earth. But I know natural remedies are hit and miss as some work only for some people.

Hey beagle,

I can't say about the clay, never brave enough to try it. The thought of eating dirt kind of makes me cringe.

But what I can say is IF the toxins are being removed you can feel much better. It is often the overload of toxins that cause the bad feelings and produce symptoms.

Rule of thumb, don't pop more than you can mop.

Hope that helps!

abhistbuf, what are your herx reactions from the bentonite clay? I just tried some today and got a recurrence of teeth pain which had finally started to settle down. Started right after I took it, can't figure out why...

Beagle, glad you're having good results with it.

Hi there,

Herx reactions include feeling drunk, dizzy, chest pain, mouth sores, and hair loss.

Just wondering how/where they binders work. Do they just bind toxins from the gi tract, or from the blood and tissues too?

i THOUGHT detox was to help avoid herxing or at least to lessen herx reaction? How could bentonite detox cause herx?

This is all way too confusing for me. :/

bentonite clay mops up toxins in the gut and is not absorbed,
it should not cause a 'herx'.

if you were on a heavy program of it (which if on necessary meds you should not be, maybe just once first thing in the AM and far from any meds food or vitamins because of the strong absorbancy..)

but if you were taking it a few times a day, you might have a healing crisis by passing toxins or feeling tired, or encouraging more elimination, ect..
not 'herxing' or experiencing any significant discomfort.

it's full of great minerals, and it mops up everything from toxins to infection in the gut.

fantastic facial and footbath too.

good luck,
mo

I've used bentonite and like it a lot. It works best if you combine 1 tbs of powder with 1 teaspoon of psyllium fiber. You get a very fast drop in inflammation and this can lower the amount of anti-inflammatory medication you need. I like to dose first thing in the morning to mop up the previous night's chemicals if I'm taking it.
