Hi all,

I am currently working on a special "project"....details to be announced at a later date..........

I am in search of Success Stories. Please send me an email at [email protected] with yours. Please know that I will need your permission to use and publish this information, so if you don't want your real name used, just give me an alias, or just a first name.

If you know anyone with a success story, please give them my info and ask them to send it to me. I sincerely appreciate it.....

I'm very excited, and I can't wait to complete this. If all goes as planned, it is going to help many many people understand Lyme disease, and give those who are suffering from it hope and courage to get their lives back!

Any questions, send me a PM!

All the best,

Dancingwinde

I recently ran across a blog which might interest you -- except there are very few stories posted. Just as I expect very few people to respond to your post.

The main reason is that even if people do get well -- there is no real way to know in many cases exactly what it was that really worked and made the difference. For long term chronic patients it is more a process with hopefully slow and steady progress.

Hubby has an appointment with a new LLMD in a few weeks. This one actually asked for the entire 10 year history including doses of all meds tried -- not exactly going to happen. They will get a summary/overview -- but I just do not have the time or energy to write the book it would take to provide all the details.

Besides the fact that the appointment will not last 5 hours like the neuro appointment when they asked for the same history and kept asking for more details. If the office notes from that appointment were readable it would sure save time and effort.

Good luck with your project.

Thanks for sharing, Bea! [Smile]

I think the point I am trying to make is that any progress, is success.....even if we go backwards, it is the forwards we need to focus on. So many of us focus on the negative, it is not conducive for healing.

As much as how we got to the ups everyone would love to know the answer to, I think many of us forget the point, that we got there.....that there can be hope, and that we can have courage to keep plugging along to get to the point where maybe we won't have the backwards anymore.

Perhaps I am naive, but this is what has helped me to heal. I am a success story....so it IS possible! Even after 5 years of being misdiagnosed, and losing everything I held dear in my life. I have gotten my life back, and it hasn't been easy, but I didn't allow myself to have any other choice.

I consider every small step a success. Maybe, if we all focused on sharing the small successes, we would have the will and courage to move towards the big ones.

This is my hope, and my focus. I hope everyone will find any small success they may have had and choose to share it with me. It is a personal choice.....

Big Hugs,

Dancingwinde
