Sorry about that. Less oxygen in a person who might already be short on it?
I was at a higher elevation last year and came on dizzy, which stayed with me quite a while afterwards. Assumed it was the oxygen, but just recently it happened again at a low elevation, so I was wrong that being in the mountains was ruled out in future.
So, hard to figure out when elevation is to blame.

Altitude sickness. I never knew I had it until I went to Estes Park, Colorado. Nausea, dizzy, fatigue and a fast pulse. I did nothing but sick around the tent all day while every one else went exploring the area. Three days was enough for me.
Diamox is a medicine you can take for altitude sickness but the side effects are worse than the altitude sickness. So I just don't go higher than 5000 ft anymore. Which is why I have a hard time flying as the planes are pressurized at about 7000 ft, I have heard. I have a friend that can't go higher than 1500 ft.
Hope you feel better soon! Karen

Lyme and bugs love low oxygenated environments...thus the reason for problems when flying...people with heart issues should never be in altitude ....can a dr get you some oxygen????

we go to casper every year as our friends have a ranch there. we spend several weeks during october.
it takes a while for me to adjust. i don't do anything but sit around and read.
i hope you get better but sounds like you need to head south.
one year i suffered horribly until i got back to raton and lower elevation in new mexico. i literally thought i was going to pass out, i kept gasping for breath. must have been the lyme.
i'm very familiar with laramie tho. have friends there also.
let us know when you get home.

We are only 5K ft here but several neighbors have moved here and then had to relocate due to the elevation causing heart problems.

Hi Gang I am home!!!!!!! When i got here my internet was not working .
I am ashamed of how i cussed out the online support people,it was their fault, not my fault.
The system goes down all the time,on their end.
Well i allready don't want to go to any doctors here.
I hate going to doctors !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would allmost rather die than go to doctors.
They take the bucks and don't do a darn thing!!!

So the 'stray' dog found his way home. How did you wander so far from home?
I could have thrown you a spare bone on your way flying by.
But I am hard to find these days!!!

Good to hear you are doing better. With these symptoms coming and going it is difficult to know when to go to the doc and when to just wait it out.

Hi Gang I am not having much trouble here at 900 feet.
I never had trouble with altitude before.I only felt better up there.
I ran past everyone up high.
Allso this summer I could not take the hot weather. Allways before i lived for hot weather didn't even sweat. So why was I drenched in sweat this summer and suffering??
Then I go to altitude and cant breathe????

Dog getting older??.
TuTu...sometimes I wonder if I would do better back on the coast due to the temp being constant.
but, dont' know how i would handle the fog.
Heat effects me now too...it started when I was in my 20's.
So far, I like the cold. But, do need to dress with gloves to keep me warm...which took several tries...old gloves I had when I skied no longer worked and clothing I had when I skied no longer worked.
Slowly getting clothing that helps. This year hope to get hat to keep head warm.
Body hurts more when I am not dressed right in the cold.
