Im unemployed and based of my reasearch the best doctor is a road trip away and i dont have a car. Im just asking just in case I cant convince family and friends to help and to see has anyone done it before

I am trying to find one I can communicate with as a consultant for my primary doc via email.
I am guessing we will need to actually see the doc in person first then phone calls.
The getting to the doc to see them in person first is going to be tricky both health wise and money wise.

This is unlikely. You will have to get to the doc for the first appt. And not very many of them will let subsequent appointments be entirely by phone or email. Lyme is complicated and the patients tend to need a lot of support. Plus the docs are under a lot of scrutiny, so arms-length might work for many other things, but will get them in trouble. Better find someone that can help you make that road trip.

Very unlikely. It's too dangerous for ANY doctor to treat over the phone or email.

but if you get there for the first appointment, you may be able to do some phone consultations after that - I saw one LLMD who did accept phone consults as long he saw you in between. However, you pay full price for a phone consult.

I took a 3 day trip to see my LLMD for my 1st visit. I have sent several emails and he answers them within a day, so I know some are open to it.

I asked this question before seeing an LLMD as it was so hard for me to get in a car, etc. When i called the office, they said that the doctor would not be able to prescribe anything if he had not first seen me.
So i pushed hard to go a few times, and now that i'm homebound, we communicate via e mail and phone. Full price for phone consultations.
There are more alternative practitioners who are not able to prescribe pharmaceuticals who will work long distance.
I have a naturopath who works with me long distance via saliva testing and phone calls. She's very in tune with lyme and co-infections. I think many of us are in this boat of not being well enough to get to appointments.
I have heard of a few different herbalists who are lyme literate who will help long distance. It really depends on whether you want to get pharmaceutical antibiotics, etc.
