Questions about Dr. C in NM. Has anybody been to see her or are you in her care? She claims to be ILIADS approved? I am not so sure. How would I be able to find out for sure. I have been seeing her since late December. Curious to hear other views of her. If anyone can PM me about her it may help me to decide if it is worth continuing to see her. Thanks & Blessings

I didn't know until recently that there were ANY LLMDs there in NM. At all.

So I don't know.

Not supposed to use city name in post with doc.

You could contact ILADS and ask.

What is "ILIADS approved"??

As far as *I* know, ILADS doesn't "approve" ANY doctors. You can be a Member of ILADS, if you are a doctor or other professional (i.e: PhD holder), but the only official "approval" a doctor has is their medical credentials... & their registration with the State.
This ain't no 'Good Housekeeping'. [Roll Eyes]

"ILADS-educated" is the term I use.

They may or may not have gone through the ILADS Physician Training, or be an ILADS member & attend conferences, etc.,

but they will have studied the full body of work of ILADS authors and REALLY know all about lyme and coinfections.

"ILADS-minded" is another term that might work. But there is no official title to this, just how we can differentiate from some of those doctors who THINK they are LL when they really are not at all.

Still, an ILADS "educated" or "minded" LLMD may not necessary follow ILADs treatment guidelines or those of Burrascano.

But they should KNOW THEM, even as they might devise their own methods, for each person. They should KNOW all the ILADS presenters and their works.

They should know the work of Eva Sapi, Ph.D. and that of Alan MacDonald.

They should know ALL the forms of Borrelia and how to treat each of those.

They should know how to help support your body to prevent or lessen the herxheimer reacton.

They should know about liver and adrenal support.

- and about all the coinfections.

If they also know about heavy metals, mold and parasites, that is best as all these often go with borrelia.
