A test that concluded he has had Lyme disease in the past. I have 3 & 4 year old boys and I noticed a subtle difference in they stability in their legs. So I took him to the dr where they x rayed and did complete blood work. Dr said that ???.the igg..?? showed that he has had Lyme disease. He seems fine for the most part. He was prescribed Amoxy for 1 month. Anybody have an idea of his prognosis? Thanks much.

I assume this is a positive elisa serological test. If he had exposure in the past the odds are he still has the bacteria.

Hi Jim:

It's amazing there is a controversy to this insidious disease and I've found it easiest to show a couple of u tube video's on the controversy.

If you watch this video you can see some of the miss diagnosis.

This is our Lyme doctor. It took us 8+ months, 9 MD's, 2 Children's Hospital's before we started to learn about the controversy and find him.

He is a saint and I show this to help illustrate how MD's have been prosecuted so normal MD's shy away from doing anything but following the flawed IDSA guidelines.

The test had 2 parts. The first w the one with 7 or 8 different igg. The second was the western blot. My son seems to be a little more active..well he always has been active"he just has some subtle movements that do not seem normal.
I hope the Amoxy for one month does the job. Thanks for the info you sent in the last post. If you have anything else you can say to help, please do.
Thanks,

Jimi k

Hi Jim:

All I know is we went through 2 years of hell with the 3rd year being a slow recovery with our daughter. Even now, almost 3 years from the tick bite I put her at 70% but she is at least able to go to school.

The controversy is crazy and you have to be your own advocate. Many here have been ill much longer than 3 years.

I'm no MD but I doubt one month of amoxy cures Lyme.

Hi Jimi,

The problem is that if they have had lyme for a long time, it is chronic, not acute.

Chronic lyme is much harder to treat and requires long term treatment.

Chronic lyme is very serious and usually gets worse with time.

I would take the boys to a good Lyme literate pediatrician.

I am sending you a private message.
