Guess that is my question in a nut shell. Haven't felt good for 3 yrs, haven't had insurance for 7 years, I move half way across the country for a great job with awesome benefits, to finally be diagnosed with Lyme ...and for what. Can't find a dr or a counselor that will take any insurance, it would be irresponsible to drop it and I really don't have a money tree in the backyard anyways. Haven't even found a kind (nice, friendly) dr for the flu or rash yet, so won't even mention it. There aren't any support groups in my area, and I left all my family and friends back in my home state, plus I Refuse to tell them as they will worry. My spouse is awesome, but clueless and very busy with new career (the one with the great bennies) [Smile]
I had to step down from my job in Jan, due to health and that was so so difficult!...and still is! So, as my subject states...how or why is it irrational to just throw in the towel and call it quits.? If I can't be a productive member of society and/or comfortable in my own skin, than what is the point!?

Ummmm...are you currently in Washington?

We have several LL docs who take insurance and are super nice.

We have multiple support groups.

Yes, it is irrational to give up.

Let me know if you want some info.

things are happening with research. llmds are understanding more and more. be greatful for your spouse. use your imagination to figure how to help society...maybe help here in seeking and then branch out. i wasnt able to help cook meals at shurch but i couled take the money and make change.

change your expectations for now...theres a success thread on here somewhere that might help
