Just started my own lyme abx a week ago... Right as hubbys babesia is back full force and he is slipping donw the rabbit hole again.
Meanwhile our brilliant almost 2 yr old is apparently so unsocialized by being stuck at home all day with a sick dad (and with exhausted sick mom at night )
That i was told today i shouldnt wait to start his part day preschool in august, he needs to be in a summer program or elsd his language will not get the boost it needs to catch up to be successful in preschool in the fall
Honestly, i dont care how "successful" he is at preschool, as long as he is learning how to interact with kids and is happy.
I dont knowmhow i will have the energy to find a way to get him to summer camp 3 days a week while i work full time during those hours and hubby is unable to drive (or sit up long) right now.
No family in the area. Very very few friends.
Srry guess i just needed to vent Posted by jackie51 (Member # 14233) on :
If you're not already on a high dose of Vitamin D, get on it. This could be part of your fatigue if you aren't also fighting babesia.
2 yr olds are resilient. Even if you can't take him to the park every day, at least he is with his parents almost every waking hour. That says a lot.
Good luck.

I'm sorry you're having a hard time. I can't imagine dealing with this while my boys were younger and need more direct care, and they are 5 and 9 right now.
Is there a local library where you could go to a once per week story time or something?
Someplace for social interaction, but not necessarily an organized program that requires multiple days per week and you can just take him on the days you are feeling somewhat less awful?
Who told you that this was necessary? Someone you can trust?
Good luck. You are a good mom, you are with him and doing your best and he knows how much you both love him. That's what's most important at that age.

I hope i dont have babesia too, but who knows really.
Havent thought about vitamin D. Will ask dr at next apt.
We actually do have a once a week story time at a nearby library that i will take him to as soon as i can get the chance.
Thanks for the kind words. Im just tired of having to fight for things all the time.
