What the heck? I found a new bite on my hip last night, and just now I felt something crawling and a bite and sure enough it was another
**** tick on my stomach! This is INSANE! I never had ticks on me until we moved out here to this rural town 2.5 years ago.
That's when I first got Lyme, my first Spring in our new home... now it's almost an everyday occura nce
to get a tick on me! I WANNA MOVE!!!! :'(

Wow, Kim, no way! Oh my goodness, they just love you. What about your husband? Does he ever get them? Maybe we need to bathe in sulphur! The south is so rampant with ticks it's unbelievable. I haven't found one on me yet this year. Found 2 crawling on the floor so far this spring and a couple on the dog, but that's it so far.
Drought was so bad here, maybe it killed em off. Or the fire ants got em. I'm still being careful.

I hate chems.,however I do spray seven.It has been used for ever,and was the main ingredient in dog flea powder.

What I talk about is cedar oil mixed with melted quartz rock which has molecules which hold the oil. There is no pesticide involved and it is a safe product that does not get into the blood stream.
Use the Dr. Ben's products for indoor and personal/pet use. They have outside sprays too which have worked equally well for us.
(My husband's business sells this product for all the gardeners he meets every day, but I'm not advertising his business. If you go to the website above, you get the product, and we get NO recognition. I just want all of us to have safe lives again!)

I don't sell Cedarcide or All-In-One, Tutu. I heard about this product on Lymenet through 17hens.
Dr. Ben's is the same thing.
This is a great product and I'm telling everyone about it. I wish I was selling it!

To tell you how well it works, in the 2+ months we've sprayed our dog, she's not had 1 tick. A few weeks ago, for 4 days in a row no one sprayed her and we pulled a tick off her every one of those 4 days.

Looks like you started off a good conversation here about protection, TN, and hopefully you'll be able to use some of these products.
Thx for the repellent info. Someone sprayed TKO Orange concentrate - same as Orange Guard - on their property and reported no more ticks. It also gets sprayed on clothing and lightly misted on dog and cat fur for the same result - no more ticks found.
I've also heard that if we eat lots of garlic, we're less likely to be bitten by insects. Have others found that to be true or not?

As an aside, one of the political parts of this disease is that local and county authorities do not want people to know how badly their areas are impacted due to the financial ruin it would have for real estate values and then the local businesses that would have to close as less people frequented them.
