Dear Members, Has anyone with chorinc Lyme disaese had any luck with obtaining a life insurance policy?
I went out on total disability in 1/08, I was lucky enough to get Social Security benifts on my 1st try and I do collect a very small disability pension thru my former employer.
I do have a life insurance policy from my former employer but the premiums have skyrocketed to the point I cannot afford it any more.
I have looked around at different life insurance plans, I know once they find out that I am disabled they will charge me more then I`m paying now.
Does anyone know of a life insurance company that will work with you and your condition? Any information will be greatly appreciated, thanking you in advance. God Bless the Lyme community. POP

I lost mine when a doctor gave an evaluation and said i had imaginary symptoms and just wanted attention, that I was Suicidal etc....
When other companies asked if I had ever been cancelled I answered honestly and then viola!!!' they turned me down...
So i have no life insurance and have not had any for at least 20 years or more

Thankfully, I bought life insurance when I was about 30 yrs old. Didn't know I had Lyme.

I bought 2 life insurance policies after my lyme treatment. One with State Farm and one with Alfa. All they were concerned about was if I was currently being treated.
I have a whole life policy which required blood work and a physical and a term policy which didn't require anything but a saliva test.
If you're not being treated for anything, if they don't bring it up, I wouldn't.
